As a parent, you entrust us with the most precious thing: your child. We take that seriously. That’s why we not only provide a safe and stimulating environment for your child, but also open and clear communication with you as a parent. We believe in short lines of communication and personal contact. The door is always literally open.

We do everything we can to give you and your child a warm welcome. From the initial introductory meeting to getting used to the group: we take our time.
Food that nourishes – and connects
We believe healthy food is important. We work with a changing seasonal menu, using as many fresh products as possible. Think of fruit moments, vegetables with the hot lunch, and space for children to make their own sandwiches. This way they playfully learn about healthy eating and independence.
Short lines of communication, open contact
We think it is important that you know how your child is doing. Via the Konnect Parent app you will receive a daily report with photos and short updates. In addition, we are always open for a chat when picking up or dropping off. Prefer to call or email? That is also possible. It’s all about openness and trust.

International
The Clown Club offers both English-speaking and Dutch-speaking groups. Our team of pedagogical staff is international. Babies start in the Babyroom, where both English and Dutch may be spoken to the children. From the toddler groups onwards, there is a split between English and Dutch. The staff at The Clown Club uses the one situation – one language strategy:
- In the Dutch-speaking group, Dutch is spoken with the children.
- In the English-speaking group, English is spoken with the children.
- Pedagogical staff speak the primary language of the group they are currently in among themselves.
Children of Dutch parents are placed in a Dutch-speaking group, and children of parents with another nationality are placed in an English-speaking group. Children of parents with another nationality may also be placed in a Dutch group. Dutch children may be placed in an English group if one of the following conditions is met:
- The child is being raised bilingually at home
- The child has family living abroad, through which the child comes into contact with the English language
- The child will attend an international primary school when they turn 4.
- The child will be moving abroad within 4 years.
Sick reports
Unfortunately, sick children cannot come to The Clown Club. If your child becomes ill during their stay, we will call you. We consider a child ill if they have a fever of 38.5°C or higher, or if a child does not feel well enough to participate. In case of doubt, we always consult with the parents. A child must be fever-free for 24 hours before they can return. For childhood illnesses, we follow the GGD (Public Health Service) guidelines. All children at The Clown Club are required to be registered with the child health center (consultatiebureau) and ensure 100% compliance with vaccinations. If you report an absence before 9:00 AM, you will receive a credit.
